Freshmen Projects

We have 11 freshmen volunteers working on a project co-sponsored with AAUW and Running Start. The volunteers are calling all 535 Members of Congress to find out if they served in student government in high school and college. This research was inspired by Campaign College, a program that encourages female college students to run for student government. We hope to show that there is a correlation between serving in student government at a young age and the likelihood of running for office later in life.
