TODAY: WeLEADer Spoke at UN General Assembly

Sradda Thapa, a current participant in our WeLEAD program, spoke today, Wednesday, March 18th, at the United Nations General Assembly, addressing the impact of conflict on youth's access to education

Sradda was born and raised in Nepal. She moved from Nepal to India in 1997, after the Maoist insurgency, to finish her schooling. Then, Sradda moved to the U.S. when she was 18 years-old to attend Gordan College in Massachusetts.

She knows firsthand the challenges that children, particularly girls, face when trying to get an education in areas of conflict.
